Symantec AntiVirus 10.2 is Symantec's antivirus solution for businesses. It combines industry-leading, real-time malware protection for enterprise workstations and network servers with graphical web-based reporting and centralized management/administration capabilities.
Note: for next generation antivirus protection, upgrade to Symantec Endpoint Protection 11.0 which combines Symantec AntiVirus with advanced threat prevention to protect endpoints from even the most sophisticated attacks. Symantec AntiVirus is particularly recommended for small business owners (less than 1,000 licenses). Note: The ClientRemote Install tool does not check to verify that Internet Explorer 5.5 SP2 or later is installed on computers when it is required. If the target computers do not have the correct version of Microsoft Internet Explorer, the installation fails without informing you.

Symantec AntiVirus supports installation on the following Linux distributions:

Note: Symantec AntiVirus Linux clients are unmanaged clients. You cannot use the Symantec management components, such as Symantec System Center, to centrally manage Symantec AntiVirus Linux clients.
