With PC Jump Start you really get two NortonLive services in one. A NortonLive expert will connect to your computer remotely and in about 45 minutes will perform the following steps:

1. A thorough cleanup of your PC to make it run faster (PC Power Boost service)
2. The installation and configuration of your new Norton software (Expert Installation service)

Why is a computer cleanup a good idea?

Because over time the performance of your computer will inevitably decrease. This is due in part to temporary Internet and application files that keep accumulating on your hard drive as unnecessary clutter. As you use your computer more and more, you will also most likely buy and download new programs and therefore add items to your startup menu as well as icons to your desktop, which will slow boot time.

A cleanup (or "tuneup") of your computer will safely remove all this unwanted junk and therefore yield better performance.
